2018 Lady Warriors’ Senior Night

Wawasee celebrated its seniors last night before their match against Northwood.  Graduating this year for the Lady Warriors are Brianna Haessig, Brittney Jackson, Courtney Larson, Kabrea Rostochak and manager Dylan Staley.

Brianna Haessig & family

Brianna Haessig is the daughter of Susan and Daryl Haessig. While at Wawasee she has been the boy’s tennis manager and played tennis. Her most memorable moment in tennis is when the team won their first NLC match against Goshen. Her message to her parents: “Thank you for always supporting me and coming to my tennis matches.” Her post high school plans are to attend Indiana Wesleyan University.

Brittney Jackson & mother

Brittney Jackson is the daughter of Melissa Jackson and Terry Jackson. She has participated in tennis while at Wawasee. Her most memorable tennis moment is “stealing coach’s mints in between drills.” Her message to parents: “Thank you for always supporting me. I love you both.” After high school she plans to attend Purdue University to major in Animal Sciences.

Courtney Larson & family

Courtney Larson is the daughter of Julie and Jeff Larson. She played Volleyball, Tennis and participated in the Athletic Training program at WHS. Her most memorable tennis moment is “lobbing a tennis ball in the air and hitting coach in the head.” Her message for parents: “Thanks for always supporting me in everything I do.” She plans to attend IPFW to study Biology after graduation.

Kabrea Rostochak & mother

Kabrea Rostochak is the daughter of Molly and Jeff Rostochak. She has played Golf, Volleyball, Basketball and Tennis at Wawasee. Her most memorable tennis moment is going to Sectionals with Kendra. Her message to parents: “Thank you for always supporting me and teaching me to play tennis.” Her post high school plans are to attend Purdue University for Civil Engineering.

Dylan Staley & family

Dylan Staley is the son of Christi and Shane Staley. At Wawasee, he has played tennis and managed for the girl’s tennis team. His most memorable tennis moment is when the entire team mocked Nathan Perek’s grunt all season long. His message to parents: “Thank you for always supporting me. I love you guys.” After high school he plans to attend Trine University with a dual major in Psychology and Criminal Justice and continue his tennis career.

All these seniors have been amazing contributors to Wawasee tennis over their careers and will be missed.  Best wishes to all of them in their post-high school endeavors!
