Warriors Battle In 2016 Varsity Duals

After taking a loss earlier in the week against Concord, Wawasee boys returned home to host this year’s Varsity Duals round-robin team tournament on Saturday 9/3/16.

The day kicked off against Westview where the Warriors lost 2-3.  #1 singles Dylan Staley and #3 singles Nathan Perek were the winners for Wawasee.

In the second match against Fairfield, the Warriors lost 1-4 with Perek winning again at #3 singles.

In the final match, Wawasee took on Jimtown with a modified lineup.  #1 singles Dylan Staley, nursing an ankle injury from his match at Concord, played #1 doubles with Tim Conley. The doubles team won their match.  The singles lineup against Jimtown was #1 singles Nate Haines, #2 singles Nathan Perek and #3 singles Evan Krueger.  Both Perek and Krueger won, giving the Warriors the victory.

Fairfield won the tournament, winning all their matches.

Wawasee returns to conference action on Tuesday, September 6th, at home against Goshen.
