Wawasee Falls Short At West Noble

Despite a top-notch performance by #1 singles Nate Haines, the Warriors came up on the losing end last night against a talented and experienced West Noble team.  West Noble featured 6 seniors in their core of 7 varsity seeds, but Wawasee battled throughout their first non-conference loss of the year.

Junior Nate Haines played his best match to date, beating West Noble’s Jared Swank in three sets (6-1, 2-6, 6-1) for the varsity’s only win.

JV fell just short, losing 2-3.  #2 Trevor Haessig put in a strong, dominant performance winning 8-1 and the #3 doubles team of Brady Robinson & Austin Kline scored their first victory in their very first match of the year winning 6-3.

Wawasee’s record is now 3-2 as they hit the road on Tuesday (9/1/15) to face Whitko.
